- #1Why was Cabinet Mission sent to India?Ans : Mr. Attlee, the Prime Minister of England sent the Cabinet Mission to India in 1946 A.D. in order to discuss and finalise plans with the Congress and the Muslim League for the transfer of power from the British Raj to the Indian leadership. The mission would aim to help Indian leaders decide the form of government that would suit them after the transfer of power.
